Diy Algae scrubber

Saw this diy algae scrubber which looks quite promising to eliminate algae and nitrate. As i plan to put some plants in thr main tank, im trying this out to minimize algae growing on my main tank. Its tiring to scrub algae on a six foot tank. Heres my diy algae scrubber.
