3scamry further report

Upon driving my car for 70km today, i am glad to say that cruising on the highway has been more pleasant than before. I dont have to downshift as frequent. Overall a good change i would say. So guys unless u building a drag car for top end performance or u have a higher capacity engine, pls refrain from going the 1.03 a/r housing for gt35r.
Now gotta focus on my idling problem.

3sgte Twincharged

My car is still in the garage and yet im toying with the idea of twincharging my 3sgte. Googling on the net cant find much example of such project. However got plenty of resources from other cars. This is a sketch for my car application. However this is still in drawing stage as i have yet to try my new setup with the smaller turbo housing which should increase my engine response.

5sfe wiring with 3sgte engine

My camry 3sgte wiring has been poorly transplanted since day one. 5sfe wiring is running together with 3sgte wiring. It has caused my car to stall a few times. Sometimes wires will melt, other times poor contact will make it unable to start. Now finally i found a car electrician that is able to do a proper wiring job for my car. I have previously bought a set of 3sgte wiring from st185. After consulting the wiremen, he recommend me to get back 5sfe wiring and everything can be run back to stock location. The fuse box, meter console etc. The quality of his job is top notch. I even got him to install my new alarm, Easycar E7bB. Will do a write up on it later. Since im using aftermarket throttle body, i have not found a way to remote mount the idle air valve. But now, i have no problem with cold start & idling cause he mod a cold air
Idle valve into my car. If anyone need to do any sort of car wiring feel free to email me.

3sgte Camry Mods List

Been using my year 94 camry (gen 2) for many years already. Started life as 2.2 litre 5sfe with an automatic transmission. Been through a lot of things with me. As i have always been a car ethuthiast ... The idea of transplant came when my automatic gearbox cannot shift gear. Instead of buying a gearbox, i bought a celica st185 halfcut, thus started my endless journey of modding. Mods done as following :
3sgte st185 engine
Vq piston
Port & polish
Hks 264 cam
Trd valve spring
Custom intake manifold with additional 4 injector
Custom extractor
Gt35r turbo 0.63 a/r
Tial wastegate
Unichip piggyback ecu with afm removal
Titan shock absorber

With this setup i was making 480bhp on engine @ 1.5 bar. Gonna retune when my car is done rewiring because i changed the turbo housing. I expect better response with the new setup. Any enquiries regarding this type of transplant can email me yapcheekhoon@gmail.com

This is my old intake manifold.

3sCamry Update

Just found out all this while my Gt35r turbo is using a/r 1.03. No wonder the spool comes so late and so hard at high rpm. Since my engine redline at 7k rpm. No point to use such a big backside. Sent the turbo to Tong Turbo, swap to a/r 0.63, drill holes for anti surge & service the turbo. I expect better response after this. All these might as well mods really drill a big hole in my pockets. So the plan for now is just to finish up the wiring works and NO MORE might as well upgrades. Checkout the wiring job done so far.
